On Sunday, October 17, Chelsea will play Bournemouth away from home in the Premier League.
After injuring his ankle in training last week, Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia will miss at least six weeks of action.
In order to get up to speed under manager Mauricio Pochettino, Lavia has been training at Chelsea’s Cobham facility.
An injury he sustained a few days ago further delayed his debut with Pochettino’s squad.
The Belgian reportedly suffers ligament damage after tests showed it.
There are suspicions that Lavia will be out for at least a month and a half, but Chelsea has not yet confirmed the seriousness of the injury.
That schedule may put him out until after the international break next month, when Chelsea hosts Arsenal in the Premier League on October 21.
Lavia may be sidelined for Chelsea’s upcoming games against Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Fulham, and Burnley, as well as the third round Carabao Cup match against Brentford.
In August, Chelsea paid Southampton £58 million to acquire Lavia.
The 19-year-old, on the other hand, is yet to make his Blues debut.
